Retirement Planning

Retirement, a time to do what you want to do, when you want to do it, with those you want to do it with. Retirement planning is a 2 step process that changes as you approach retirement.

  1. Accumulation - the goal of investing to grow your retirement account. That step is broken into three phases as illustrated below in the traffic light.
  2. Distribution - the goal of distributing income from your retirement account. One of the biggest mistakes we see is failing to change the investment approach in the distribution step retirement.

Investing for retirement (401k, 403b, IRA's) investment phases. You should have distinct plans for all three phases of retirement accumulation,
as well as an investment strategy for the distribution phase.
